The offer is currently reserved for SFR subscribers. Other operators are expected to get a broadcast channel by the end of the year.
It’s a new kid in the world of streaming platforms.. This Thursday, Universal has just launched Universal+ in France. After Netflix, Prime Video or even Disney +, the American film production company is launching an offer … only reserved for SFR subscribers for the moment. They must go to the interface of their box or their application to take advantage of it. It should however be specified that only those who have subscribed to an already existing “Family” offer will have access to the service.
If SFR retains a monopoly, it will not be unlimited: other operators will be able to offer the new platform to their customers before the end of the year. Whereas Paramount+ is also set to launch in DecemberUniversal+ is betting on a catalog of films and series rich enough to reach new subscribers, such as Station Eleven, or The Real Housewives of Dubai. Already available in Latin America, Spain and Africa, the streaming service will also allow SFR subscribers access to the 13th Street, SYFY, E! and DreamWorks.
