Nightmarish scene on a heavenly background. This is what many tourists have experienced in the middle of November on the beaches of Mexico, more precisely in Acapulco. While families and tourists were quietly enjoying the sun and the sea, several people saw something approaching the shore to come aground. Contrary to what one might have thought, these were not marine animals, but bodies of three men. And the horror doesn’t stop there. The three bodies, two of which ran aground in the plaza of Condesa and another in that of Icacos in the bay of Acapulco, all bore the marks of extreme torturea sign that it was a settling of accounts between gangs.
Images of the corpses circulating show that one of the victims had his arms and legs tied and was attached to a concrete block to pour it while another victim bore the marks of a shot in the neck. If Acapulco evokes paradisiacal beaches and the Mexican sun, the city has for several years been more synonymous with organized crime. She was the theater, only in the first four months of 2022, no less than 120 murders most of which are committed by local cartels. Following the discovery of these bodies washed up on the beaches of Acapulco, the authorities declared to have opened an investigation to find those responsible for these crimes.
