In one week, the liter of Super SP95-E10 jumped by more than 13 cents. An upward momentum that had been anticipated with the reduction in discounts on November 16.
The increase was expected, but the figures are nonetheless staggering.
Put in place to help motorists, State pump rebates and TotalEnergies dropped drastically on Wednesday November 16. The first fell by 20 cents, from 30 to 10 cents, and the second, from 20 to 10 cents.
As a result, fuel prices soared last week, according to figures published Monday, November 21, by the Ministry of Ecological Transition and stopped Friday, November 18. Diesel increased by 10.4 cents per liter to reach 1.9059 euros including tax per liter. Regarding the Super SP95 – E10, the increase is even more spectacular. It is necessary to count 1.7514 euros per liter, an increase of 13.4 cents more compared to the previous week.
Discounts of 10 cents will continue to be applied until December 31. Then, the boost at the pump will be more targeted, without the government having yet clearly defined the rules. In 2023, the executive is counting instead on targeted aid for motorists “who are struggling to make ends meet”, indicated the Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal.
