While waiting to discover her in the sulphurous series “The Idol”, Lily-Rose Depp indulged in a few secrets about her family life with her two famous parents.
While posing (in Chanel), Lily-Rose Depp granted a new interview to the American edition of the magazine “She“. An interview during which the young actress talks about her next highly anticipated role: that of Jocelyn in the series “The Idol”. The 23-year-old Franco-American also confided in her family life with her brother Jack (20) and their two famous parents, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.
When his father was in the middle of a lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, last June in Virginia, Lily-Rose Depp chose to remain silent. “When it’s something so private and so personal that suddenly becomes less personal…”, she first commented. “I’m not here to answer for anyone, and I feel like for a lot of my career people have really wanted to define me by the men in my life, whether it’s the members of my family or my boyfriends, whatever. And I’m really ready to be defined by the things I offer.”
Her desire to preserve her private life comes precisely from the education she received from her two star parents, who protected her as much as possible with her brother Jack. “I know that my childhood was not like everyone else’s childhood, and it’s a very special thing to manage, but it’s also the only thing I know,” says today the one who lives between New York, Los Angeles and Paris.
A “comforting and loving” mother
L’Chanel ambassador also dwelt on her mother Vanessa Paradis, a figure at the same time present, while pursuing her career as a singer and actress. “It was really cool for me and my brother to see our mother being the ultimate comforting and loving person, but also having such a rich and full life, watching her take the stage and sing for thousands of people, and be so in her own universe and in contact with herself and her art”, confides the one who idolized her mother as a little girl, to the point of wanting to dress like her.
In the series “The Idol”, commissioned by the American channel HBO, Lily Rose Depp gives the answer to the singer The Weeknd. On the program: sex, drugs and rock’n’roll. In this series directed by Sam Levinson (to whom we owe the hit series “Euphoria”), Lily-Rose Depp appears more sensual than ever as a pop singer who strikes up a romance with a Los Angeles club owner and cult leader. “The most sordid love story in all of Hollywood,” she said on her social media when the trailer was released last summer. No release date has yet been announced.
