The representatives of the commercial company GFC Ajaccio were summoned this Monday morning before the commercial court of Ajaccio. The judges put their decision under advisement on January 30, but this purely administrative delay does not rule out the specter of a judicial liquidation, which seems to be the inevitable outcome for the Ajaccio club.
As a reminder, the simplified joint-stock company (SAS) has been in receivership since December 19. In great financial difficulty, the company – whose accounts have been frozen for almost a year and a half – and its representatives – President Johann Carta has since been imprisoned – are the subject of an investigation by the specialized interregional jurisdiction (Jirs) of Marseille.
The season is therefore over for the team that was playing in National 3.
The future of the GFCA association, which oversees the amateur section and the youth teams, will be partly determined by the decision of the court which will rule on February 14.
