This Thursday, January 19, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department revealed that it was British actor Julian Sands, reports CNN. The latter is particularly famous for his roles in “Chambre avec vue”, “Le Festin nu”, or in the series “24 heures chrono” and “Stargate SG-1”.

An expedition to Mount Baldy
The 65-year-old comedian had gone hiking in the Mount Baldy region, located in southern California near Los Angeles. This geographical area has been plagued by several particularly violent climatic phenomena for several weeks, reveals The Dispatch.
The search was launched on Saturday January 14 by the police the day after his disappearance. The latter are complicated due to weather conditions. “Due to severe weather and a threat of an avalanche, rescuers had to suspend their search efforts,” the police spokeswoman told CNN. “Authorities continue to use drones to search for him but are limited by other resources due to weather conditions.”
The actor is described as a mountaineering and mountain enthusiast, reveals The Parisian. In an interview given to Guardian in 2020, to the question “When are you happiest?”, he answered “Near a mountain top on a glorious cold morning”.
