“It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Johan Hamel. He was a highly appreciated referee, with an exemplary career, a passionate person and a figure in our football. On behalf of the FFF, of all of our amateur and professional football, I would like to express my deepest condolences to Johan’s family and his loved ones. The FFF then indicated about it. “The FFF and French football will pay tribute to Johan Hamel next weekend. A minute of silence or applause will be observed in his memory on all national competition meetings, in particular those of the 8th round of the Coupe de France, the French championships of D1 Akema women, Divisions 1 and 2 futsal, National championship 2 and the 1st federal round of the Women’s French Cup».
